Envision Energy has announced that it awarded a 2000-MW order for wind turbines in India. The company will deliver 596 wind turbines, manufactured in Indian factory by the end of 2023.

Envision Energy is a manufacturer, distributor, and operator of smart wind turbines. It also sells and operates AIoT-powered batteries via Envision AESC.

Envision will supply and install its EN156/3.3 windturbines. EN 156/3.3’s 156m rotor is the largest in the country. This rotor has a 3.3MW generator, and a 140m hub height. This design maximizes energy from low wind conditions prevalent in the country. It is expected to spend $25M USD to build its 1200-MW-capacity hub assembly plant at Pune in 2018.

Envision plans to increase its current capacity by at least two times in order to meet increased market demand. Envision also plans to build a blade factory for India in Q1 2023.

Envision’s Indian projects, the 198MW Khagashree and 35MW Kagvard wind farms, which are equipped with EN-131/2.5MW wind turbines respectively, have been operating since May and October 2019. These projects have so far produced more than 1.76 Billion kWh of clean energy in the region.

“Envision India is proud of its contribution to India’s goal to reach 500 GW and a 50% renewable energy energy requirement by 2030. We expect to hire more than 300 local employees to meet the increasing needs of India and the Asia Pacific region, thanks to the expansion of our energy storage and wind business,” says R P V Prasad Country Head, India Region.

The Group’s mission is to “solve the problems for the sustainable future” of humanity.
