Equis Funds Group, a Singapore-based energy and infrastructure fund manager, completed a 132.5-megawatt solar plant in the Philippines, the largest in the region.

The Cadiz project was developed by Helios Solar Energy Corp., a joint venture between Gregorio Araneta Inc. and Soleq Pte Ltd., Equis said in a e-mailed statement Thursday. Equis now has 236.5 megawatts of renewable-energy plants in operation in the Philippines.

Equis said the project in Cadiz City, on the island of Negros, is the largest solar farm in Southeast Asia. It’s eligible for the government’s feed-in tariff program and can power almost 168,000 homes.
