First rapid electric vehicle charging station opens on Zagreb-Split highway

The first rapid electric vehicle charging station has opened on the Zagreb-Split highway in Croatia on Tuesday.

Electric vehicle charging stations opened simultaneous at Tifon gas stations at Draganić south and Ravna Gora this afternoon. The stations are the first fast electric vehicle charging stations on the Croatian highway connecting the capital Zagreb and Split on the Dalmatian coast, Auto Start reported.

Tifon, who are part of the MOL Group, opened the charging stations under the MOL Plugee brand and there are more planned on the Zagreb-Split highway ahead of the upcoming tourist season.

Tifon is one of first on the Croatian energy market which will offer tourists travelling with electric vehicles this tourist season an unhindered and considerably simpler trip with the rapid charging stations.

In May, Tifon will open rapid electric vehicle charging stations at Dobra and Jasenice on the highway.

The MOL Plugee charging stations are part of the NEXT-E project which is co-financed by the European Union under the title ‘Connecting Europe Facility – CEF which Tifon is taking part in as a member of MOL Group.
