Employees join hands to plant 25,000 saplings and pledge to foster them.

Surat, India : Goldi Solar, a global solar panel manufacturer and EPC provider, today kickstarted a tree plantation drive on the occasion of World Conservation Day. The first leg of the drive took place in Surat as part of their employee engagement initiative. Over 100 employees came together to plant 300 saplings while also pledging to foster them. A total of 25,000 saplings will be planted over the year across Gujarat.

Goldi Solar believes that the mass plantation in the area would supplement greenery and negate the ill effects of deforestation. Further, the company believes that just planting is not enough; they need to be nurtured and protected. The employees, therefore, will also visit the plantation area to support the saplings long enough for them to grow into robust foliage.

Speaking on the occasion, Ishver Dholakiya, Managing Director & Founder, Goldi Solar, said, “As a company operating in the green energy sector, Goldi Solar is committed to mitigating climate risks.

This plantation drive was just another small effort in realizing net-zero carbon emissions. We also hope to create awareness and encourage other companies in the vicinity to take up similar initiatives.”
