Ground breaking to build Phuoc Thai 1 solar power project

On September 26, 2019, in Phuoc Thai commune, Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan province, the Power Project Management Board 3 (Electricity of Vietnam) held a groundbreaking ceremony for building Phuoc Thai 1 solar power project.

This is a project approved by the Prime Minister as additional one to Power Development Planning VII (adjusted). The project with a total investment level of more than 1,112 billion VND invested by the Electricity of Vietnam with itself equity capital and domestic commercial loans.

The Phuoc Thai 1 project includes the polycrystalline photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 50 MWp, a step-up 22/220 kV transformer substation, a 220 kV double circuit transmission line, synchronous items of the project and items of auxiliary works serving the project construction.

When putting into operation, the project will add about 80,975 million kWh per year to the National Power System and contribute to the socio-economic development in Ninh Thuận province.

The project expects to be completed in July 2020.
