The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) will cooperate to develop the new S-curve industrial estate, and will do a joint study on the development of an industrial estate for a “new S-Curve” industry.

The Thailand government’s target is to promote the investment and productivities in country and to generate the income from domestic products of the country, resulting the occupation and reduce the imports as well as to increase of National Income.

Shenzhen Growatt New Energy Technology Co.,Ltd is going to invest and use the technology to achieve the objectives. Growatt, SET-listed Energy Absolute Plc (EA) and a Taiwanese subsidiary of Amita Technologies will join to develop a plant to produce batteries for renewable power systems and electric vehicles. Also, producing power storage systems for renewable power generating systems will enhance the storage and transmission capabilities of Thai renewable power-generating.

Since entering in 2013, Growatt now has a cumulative capacity of more than 300 MW of inverters installed in Thailand. Growatt pioneers the PV market in Thailand for many year, especially its intelligent high performance inverters are quite popular. Growatt successfully commissioned 1.9 MW storage systems distributed in 19 rural sites of Royal Thai Air Force all across Thailand, which supplement the inconstant power grid to provide uninterruptable power supply to the equipment. Growatt CEO Mr. David Ding was awarded badge of honor for his outstanding contribution to the energy transformation project of Royal Thai Air Force.

The plant will be in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) as the company expects to be granted special investment privileges by the Board of Investment (BoI) upon making the investment.

The location of the plant will be finalized soon. Around 2,000 rai of land will be built as a plant.

Chen Namchaisiri, the chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) said the joint venture is a new investment that is part of the rising trend of S-curve industries that the government is promoting.
