Ingeteam has been awarded an Operation & Maintenance contract for a new PV plant in Mexico. This 35.5 MW plant is located in the city of Camargo in the northeastern state of Chihuahua on the border with New Mexico. With this new project, Ingeteam now has a PV O&M portfolio in Mexico of 140 MW, corresponding to the maintenance of 55% of the country’s installed power. As the leader in the Mexican wind power sector, Ingeteam is also strengthening its positioning in the rest of the country’s energy sectors, thanks to these new contracts which put the O&M figure in Mexico at more than 2 GW.

Wider range of services
Until now, the commitment of Ingeteam Service to its customers started with the commissioning of the equipment, going on to provide integrated maintenance and also support for the management and operation of the wind farm throughout its entire service life. From 2016 onwards, Ingeteam has broadened its portfolio of services to include the assembly of wind turbines. In fact, in the last few months, Ingeteam has been awarded the contract to assemble 20 wind turbines sited at the Wind Farms of La Bufa and Puerto Peñasco in the regions of Zacatecas and Sonora.
Offices across the country
Ingeteam has offices in Juchitán de Zaragoza and in San Luis Potosí, both dedicated to the provision of O&M services to wind and PV farms. Whilst the company’s offices in Monterrey are dedicated to the marketing of its PV inverters and a further office in Mexico City is dedicated to the distribution of equipment and the execution of projects for the automation and protection of distribution power networks and substations for the transmission of renewable energies. The company also performs an important community role in those regions in which it operates. On the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, for example, Ingeteam is engaged in outreach activities, directed at providing the region’s inhabitants with information on renewable energies, thereby encouraging a heightened awareness of renewables and promoting the implementation of the same.
