JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (the “Company”, or “JinkoSolar”) (NYSE: JKS) one of the largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers in the world, today announced that it will supply 100MW of its n-type Tiger Neo solar panels for Guangdong Energy Group in its upcoming project located in Huizhou in southern China.

Tiger Neo modules were selected for this momentous project owing to their higher efficiency, improved field performance and reliability from lower temperature coefficient, lower degradation, extremely low LID and LeTID, and higher bifacial rate for the bifacial series. It is the highest efficiency commercial solar panel in the over 22% efficiency bracket. Neo has a proven 3%+ higher energy yield per rated watt as compared to P type modules.

Today, the industry is taking a major step towards re-imagining its focus on core technology and efficiency instead of struggling in module size. The launch of JinkoSolar’s Tiger Neo Series panel, the first product with over 22% efficiency on the module level has made this possible. That allows JinkoSolar to ship the 560W+ modules for the utility scale market, and 605 ~615W in the 78-cell version.

“That’s the right benchmark to be aiming for. Driven by the rising cost of raw materials, land, labor, logistics, the advantages of our high-efficiency products reap the greatest reward,” said by Dany Qian, VP of JinkoSolar. As massive demand for higher efficiency modules is seen in the industry, N-type products with affordable price will come to dominate utility-scale as well as rooftop markets.”

Tiger Neo is currently in full scale manufacturing at approximately 16GW (solar cells) per year in the JinkoSolar’s Anhui and Zhejiang production facilities in China.

Reasons that make Tiger Neo the best choice:

Improved High-Temperature Performance: When solar panels get hotter, they can lose the ability to generate power. Tiger Neo panels have a much lower temperature co-efficient compared to conventional modules, which results in delivering higher output in hotter weather.

Excellent Low Light Performance: There are times in the day when your solar panels are not able to access the full force of sunlight, e.g during mornings, evenings, or cloudy skies. And Tiger Neo panels have excellent performance under these low light conditions.

Excellent low light performance- Tiger Neo has great performance under low light conditions, which means in morning and sunset, in cloudy or not directly south orientation, Tiger Neo will deliver higher output.

Improved high temperature performance- Getting benefits from lower temperature coefficient compared to other modules, Tiger Neo is able to maintain high performance when modules get hotter and hotter.

Increased power generation- Tiger Neo, based on n-type cell technology, increases panel efficiency, generating more power per panel and more kWh per KWp.

Enhanced performance warranty- Tiger Neo series comes with an enhanced performance warranty. After 30 years of use, the Tiger Neo is guaranteed to retain at least 87.4% of initial performance level.

Low LID- The Light Induced Degradation (LID) and LeTID of Tiger Neo is extremely low when compared with the standard P-type cells.

Track record and proven field performance- Jinkosolar has delivered 100GW of quality solar panels to over 170 countries, more than any other international player has ever done. JinkoSolar guarantees peace of mind to its customers and their solar panels always exceed customer expectations.
