Juniper Green Energizes Maharashtra with Early Commissioning of 103 MWp Solar Hybrid Project – EQ
In Short : Juniper Green Energy has commissioned 103 MWp of solar capacity for its 129 MWp hybrid project in Wardha, Maharashtra—16 months ahead of schedule. Commissioned in two phases, the power is supplied to MSEDCL. This milestone underscores Juniper’s rapid execution and commitment to clean energy, further strengthening its role in India’s transition to sustainable, utility-scale renewable power.
In Detail : Juniper Green Energy has successfully commissioned 103 MWp of the solar component for its hybrid renewable energy project in the Wardha district of Maharashtra. This solar capacity is part of a larger 129 MWp hybrid project combining both solar and wind energy sources.
The project is located in the village of Karanja (Ghadge) at Heti-Kundi and was brought online in two phases. The first 59.55 MWp was commissioned on June 6, 2025, followed by an additional 43 MWp on July 14, 2025.
This achievement is particularly significant as the commissioning was completed nearly 16 months ahead of the original scheduled date of November 17, 2026. The swift execution underscores Juniper’s strong project management and technical capabilities in renewable energy development.
The solar energy generated from this facility is being supplied to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). This is facilitated through Juniper Green Power Five Pvt Ltd, a special purpose vehicle created for this project.
Juniper Green Energy’s CEO, Ankush Malik, expressed pride in achieving early commissioning, noting that this rapid deployment supports India’s push toward renewable energy targets. The company’s focus remains on building reliable, large-scale green energy solutions.
The hybrid nature of the project enhances its efficiency and stability by combining solar and wind energy, enabling consistent power generation. This approach aligns with the evolving needs of India’s power grid, which increasingly depends on diverse and flexible renewable energy sources.
Juniper Green Energy has already built a strong track record, including the commissioning of a 145.99 MWp solar project in Chapalgaon, Maharashtra, which was also completed ahead of schedule in May 2025. These projects reflect the company’s commitment to timely execution and quality.
With a growing portfolio across India, Juniper Green Energy continues to play a leading role in the transition to clean energy. Its focus on hybrid and utility-scale solutions positions it as a key contributor to the country’s sustainable energy future.
