Newtown supermarket to install electric car charging points

Tesco supermarket has revealed plans to install electric vehicle charge points at its Newtown superstore.
A planning application submitted by the supermarket giant to put in place a media EV charger, fast EV charger and rapid EV charger in the car park bays nearest to the footpath to Kerry Road.
The plans, which will be considered for approval by Powys County Council planning officers, include four steel flag poles for Welsh and English signage.
A decision is expected to be announced in November.
