India’s Largest Power Utility NTPC Limited has issued a Tender for 600 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects. NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited will develop the Hybrid Power Project.

Online bids from eligible bidders are invited for the development of ISTS connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project(s) up to 600 MW anywhere in India.

NTPC issued tender state that the offered projects will be Hybrid of two renewable energy resources including wind and solar PV where the rated power capacity of either resources will be at least 33 per cent of the total offered Hybrid Project capacity. The official notice mentions that the offered projects can be connected to a single injection point or separate injection points on the ISTS network.

The official notification stated that the maximum project capacity (Hybrid of Wind and Solar PV) at a single location is 50 MW. Whereas, 600 MW is the maximum project capacity (Hybrid of Wind and Solar PV). Offered Hybrid Project Capacity will be in multiples of 10 MW, it added.

NTPC Limited intends to finance the subject package through its own resources, it stated. The detailed specification, scope of work and Terms & Conditions are provided in the bidding documents available at the e-tender portal. The period of downloading bidding documents is from May 5, 2021, to May 17, 2021.

The date for the Pre Bid Conference and last date for receipt of queries from prospective bidders is May 21, 2021. The official notification quotes that the last date and time for receipt of bids comprising both Techno-Commercial Bid and Price Bid is 3 pm on May 31, 2021.
