PA Resources Secures First Solar Contract Extension

KUALA LUMPUR : PA Resources Bhd announced that its supply agreement with First Solar has been extended for two years at an approximate value of RM800 million.
“The agreement shall commence from May 2021 and shall remain effective for two years,” the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
On Jan 24, 2018, PA Resources’s unit PA Extrusion (M) Sdn Bhd entered into a supply agreement with First Solar Inc, First Solar Vietnam Mfg Co Ltd and First Solar Malaysia Sdn Bhd (collectively referred to as First Solar), for a contract value of approximately RM600 million.
Under the deal, First Solar will purchase certain materials or other goods from PA Extrusion to be used in the production of solar photovoltaic modules.
