## **Regulatory & Institutional Context**

* Kurawar S/s is part of the **Rajasthan REZ Phase-IV (Part-2: 5.5 GW, Jaisalmer/Barmer Complex)** evacuation plan, already under TBCB implementation.
* In the **32nd CMETS-WR (Sept 2024)**, it was agreed that feeder bays (220 kV & 132 kV) would be awarded once Kurawar S/s was finalized.
* MPPTCL confirmed award of **downstream intra-state works** in Sept 2024, enabling ISTS bays to be taken up simultaneously.
* CTUIL, via **OM dated 20.01.2025**, assigned the ₹56 crore scheme to POWERGRID Kurawar Transmission Ltd. under **RTM route**.

* CTUIL, in its affidavit (13.05.2025), **recommended license grant**, noting:

* Kurawar S/s (765/400/220/132 kV) already being established by POWERGRID (2×1500 MVA ICTs, 2×500 MVA ICTs, 3×200 MVA ICTs).
* The additional bays would enable **drawal of power by MPPTCL** and integrate LILO of several 132 kV and 220 kV lines.
* No objections were received from the public following publication of notices.
