NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated India’s first full-time female finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her team for a citizen friendly, development friendly, and future oriented budget.
The Budget will be prosperous for the economy, empower the poor and provide a better future to the youth of the country, Modi said in a statement.
Stating the Budget as a “green budget”, PM said it focuses on environment, electric mobility, solar structure and pitches for a green and clean energy.
PM Modi said the budget for a ‘New India’ has a roadmap to transform the agriculture sector of the country. It will strengthen the education system of the country and ensure that benefits of artificial intelligence and space research reach the people.
He said the Budget is one of hope and will ensure progress of the middle class and boost the process of development.
