REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, the NBFC Navaratna CPSU under the aegis of Ministry of Power, handed over the project specific SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) formed for construction of Transmission Project viz., ‘MP Power Transmission Package–II Limited’ to M/s Adani Transmission Limited at Jabalpur on 01st November 2021.

M/s Adani Transmission Limited has been the successful bidder of the Intra State Transmission Project of Government of Madhya Pradesh and RECPDCL, the Bid Process Coordinator.

The SPV has been handed over by Shri T.S.C. Bosh, ED & Jt. CEO, RECPDCL to Shri Vivek Singla, President, M/s Adani Transmission Limited in the presence of Shri Sunil Tiwari, Managing Director, MP Power Transmission Co Ltd, Shri Kiran Gopal Vaska IAS, Managing Director, MP Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co Ltd, Shri Hariharan Addl CEO RECPDCL and other Senior officials of RECPDCL, MPPTCL & M/s Adani Transmission Limited.

The selection of M/s Adani Transmission Limited was carried out through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) for selection of Transmission Developers in line with the Standard Bidding Documents and Guidelines thereof as notified by Ministry of Power, Government of India.

The project comprises construction of around 870 Km of 220 KV & 132 KV Transmission Lines along with associated 18 Power Sub-stations of cumulative transmission capacity of 2736 MVA. The project, to be implemented by M/s Adani Transmission Limited in 24 months, would facilitate overall improvement of power supply position in Madhya Pradesh.
