A strategic cooperation between Schneider Electric and ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has been announced in order to provide cutting-edge training facilities and initiatives in smart manufacturing. The partnership seeks to provide young people with the knowledge and abilities necessary for the automation and manufacturing of the future.

Schneider Electric will create a cutting-edge smart campus and training facilities for NAMTECH, an effort by AM/NS India to promote education. The Ahmedabad, Gujarat, campus will put a strong emphasis on providing top-notch engineering and technical education with a focus on manufacturing and sustainability.

Through professional training, Deepak Sharma, Zone President-Greater India, MD & CEO of Schneider Electric India, hopes to change the landscape of smart manufacturing and sustainable energy. The collaboration will offer thorough training to people from all backgrounds, equipping them with digital skills to prosper as competent technicians and engineers.

In the beginning, a Professional Master’s Programme in Smart Manufacturing and a Professional Technologist Programme in Automation will be developed in conjunction with Schneider Electric and NAMTECH. At the Ahmedabad location, the collaboration will also be responsible for the design and execution of a smart campus and technical labs.

CEO of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), Dilip Oommen, emphasised the company’s dedication to innovation and efforts to get young people ready for the digital industrial era. The collaboration with Schneider Electric will take use of their knowledge and experience in the sector to build state-of-the-art training facilities and a smart campus, enabling the next generation of manufacturing leaders and fostering India’s sustainable future.

The alliance also seeks to introduce academic and capability development programmes, provide industry leaders as instructors, coordinate industry visits, and develop internship and job possibilities for students in India and overseas.
