Schneider Electric’s solar energy training centre inaugurated
On 22 August 2017, spiritual guru and founder of the Art of Living Foundation, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar inaugurated Schneider Electric India Foundation’s (SEIF) solar energy training centre at Sri Sri University in Cuttack, Odisha.
The training centre has been set up by SEIF in partnership with Sri Sri Rural Development Programme (SSRDP) Trust.
The company now has six functional renewable energy training centres across the country. It plans to establish three more training centres in the next few months at Jaipur, Lucknow and Bengaluru.
Overall, the company has set up 251 training centres across the country, including a basic electrician centre and a renewable energy centre, and has trained around 77,000 unemployed youth and plans to train one million youth by 2025 globally.
