ROLE PROFILE

Job Title : Senior Executive- Business Development
Reporting line : Department Head

Location : New Delhi

Background:

The Senior Executive-Business Development reports to the Department Head and contributes by effectively generating business for the company. The vertical-B2B, works for different private clients including corporate, NGOs, Foundations, Banks, Consumers etc. There are diverse projects which are undertaken by the vertical which include off-grid solar pumping solutions installed for individual consumers, off grid pumping solutions for the community, solar pumping solution for Village Level Entrepreneurs, Setting up of agri-centric micro and mini grids, Irrigation as a service etc.
The user of our system is a farmer however we identify creative routes to reach out to them for their maximum benefit. We build partnerships and associations to increase our market presence. The organization is building teams to undertake various challenging market potentials and establish itself synonymous to Solar Water Pumping.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

The Senior Executive Sales performs a wide range of duties including (but not limited to) the following:
– Be responsible for generating leads for institutional sales/ corporate sales
– Reach out to corporate clients and pitch the solution to them as an intervention of Corporate Social Responsibility Projects
– Reach out to related NGOs/ Foundations and make sales pitch
– Reach out to Agri Business organizations and build synergies
– Prepare the sales pitch docket
– Understand clients problem and propose solutions
– Develop and build data base of potential clients
– Assist the Head of Department in various marketing and sales initiatives
– Competition mapping and analysis
– Financial modelling
– Take initiative for new projects and assist the department head in planning and execution
– Responsible for generating business and act as a single point of contact for the client
– Ensure customer satisfaction
– Make proposals
– CRM management
– Coordination with internal teams and cross functional teams
– Documentation control and reporting
– Reporting-MIS internal and external
– Networking
Qualifications & Experience:
a. Education:
– The candidate should at least have a graduate degree preferably in Agriculture or an Engineer in Agriculture/Energy/ Electrical .
– MBA Marketing/ Finance / Agri Business Management will be preferred

b. Experience:
2-4 years of experience in a business development/ sales role in the solar energy sector

c. Knowledge, skills and abilities:
– Excellent IT skills to include wide experience of word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint
– Excellent written and oral communications skills
– Excel spreadsheet knowledge is very important
– Experience marketing of capital intensive products
– Knowledge of Contracts/ RFP/ Agreements
– Integrity is of utmost importance
– Should be willing to travel and stay in rural areas
– Self confident and reliant person
– Ability to use theoretical knowledge into practical application
– Ability to accept challenges and showcase performance
– Strong analytical skills to drive channel performance and drive profitability
– The individual should be enterprising
– Ability to work in a team environment

Mission: Claro Energy is solving the problem of lack of electricity in rural regions of India for pumping water for irrigation and drinking. The company is aiming to be the largest provider of affordable, adequate and timely irrigation to millions of farmers in India. Claro Energy solely focuses on solar pumping and offers a wide range of solar pumping solutions ranging from AC and DC systems for both surface and submersible pump applications. Claro energy provides varying system sizes ranging from small 1 HP to large 50 HP solar pumps. Claro Energy customizes solutions for its customer and offers both single and dual axis tracking by solar panels. It has also recently added movable systems to its stationary fixed ground mounted systems portfolio. Movable systems enhance productivity of the solar pumps by increasing their productive use. Claro Energy has remote tracking through a mobile architecture of all its pumping assets for fault detection, diagnosis and rectification in a timely and low cost manner. The architecture allows remote monitoring and control of the pumps. Often Claros systems deliver more water, or run longer during the day, or are lower in cost compared to its competitors.
