Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (BME:SGRE) on Friday said it has secured a 20-year contract to provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for 135 MW of Senvion turbines at a wind farm in Victoria, Australia.

The wind turbine company will be in charge of remote monitoring, supply chain access and speciality tooling, design and engineering support, and will also provide software updates. It has invested in a significant and readily available stock of Senvion parts in Australia.

Siemens Gamesa closed the acquisition of several assets from German wind turbine manufacturer Senvion SA in January 2020. The deal covered Senvion’s European onshore wind farm services business, assets associated with it and intellectual property. The purchase helped Siemens Gamesa boost its multi-brand portfolio to some 10 GW.

Siemens Gamesa services close to 72 GW of wind turbines worldwide, according to the company.
