Solar must be driven by local MSME sector: Rajasthan Solar Association
Rajasthan is an important national solar destination so state budget becomes an important part of it. Following are our suggestions for inclusion in the budget:
- The State Government should reserve procurement for all solar items including Solar Street Lights, Solar Plants and Solar Lantern Etc as per items in RTPP act from MSMEs of Rajasthan entrepreneurs only.
- Current Solar pump subsidy by state should be continued and increased from 30% to 40% for welfare of farmers.
- In KUSUM Yojana- for ground mounted projects- state government should provide infrastructure benefits- like government land or levelled land or transmission lines laying out for developers benefit. Further they should go for good reasonable tariff
- Solar Skill development and training should be promoted with focus.
- Easy financing should be provided by government for promotion of rooftop solar.
- RRDEF (Rajasthan Renewable Energy Development Fund) should be utilised for promotion, public awareness and other welfare of solar development.
- Net Metering cap of 1 MW to be removed for rooftop solar for Commercial & Industrial consumers
- Research & Development facilities to be developed and increased for smarter solar solutions.
