CleanMax marks entry into Thailand with a 3.5 MWp rooftop solar project

Sohar Port and Freezone (SPFZ) in Oman in partnership with Shell Development Oman (SDO) will develop 300 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy to power industries at the Sohar Freezone freeing up the Sultanate’s gas resources, a tweet revealed on Wednesday.

The tweet said the first 25 MW solar photovoltaic project is scheduled to come on stream in 2020.

The project is being developed by Qabas, SDO’s renewable energy arm unveiled in January 2020 to develop renewable energy farms with capacities ranging from 10MW to 40 MW on a 600-hectare land within the freezone.
