Department of New and Renewable Energy (NRE) Nagaland was awarded first positions in category of general state for solar street light and in the category of solar power plant by North East States and second position in Solar Power Pack (NE). The awards were given by secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy New Delhi, Rajiv Kapoor on January 24 during the National Review Meeting of MNRE program at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi and received by director department NRE, Er. T.S. Angami. Meanwhile, Kohima District was also awarded first position in the category of solar power plant among the NE states and also second in the category of solar street light among the NE States. The district awards were received by additional director NRE department Er. Kavito Chishi.
