Training for engineers in rooftop solar system

Tamil Nadu-based The Gandhigram Rural Institute, deemed to be university, is imparting solar rooftop training to the engineers working in discoms/circle offices. The three-day training programme began here on Monday.
SPDCL Vijayawada Operations Circle Superintending Engineer N. Venkateswarlu stressed that the Discoms’ engineers should be exposed the recent development of technology on rooftop solar system, the policy and regulations on net metering and gross metering.
It was the right forum to discuss and finalise the grid integration issues on solar integration into the grid, he said.
