
Waaree Energies Fortifies Manufacturing Through Strategic Transformer and Energy Firm Acquisitions – EQ
In Short : Waaree Energies’ board approved acquiring Kamath Transformers Pvt Ltd for ₹293 crore, and its subsidiary Waaree Forever Energies will buy Green New Delhi Forever Energy Pvt Ltd at ₹1 lakh per share. Both all‑cash deals, funded through internal accruals, are slated to complete in FY26. The acquisitions will expand Waaree’s manufacturing footprint and strengthen its supply chain in renewable energy.
In Detail : Waaree Energies’ board has approved the acquisition of Kamath Transformers Pvt Ltd for approximately ₹293 crore, marking a significant expansion of its core manufacturing capabilities.
Founded in 1996, Kamath Transformers specializes in power transformer production, with its revenues nearly doubling from ₹54 crore in FY23 to over ₹122 crore in FY24.
This acquisition will bolster Waaree’s ability to supply key equipment for its growing portfolio of renewable energy projects across India.
In a parallel move, Waaree Forever Energies Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary, will acquire Green New Delhi Forever Energy Pvt Ltd at ₹1 lakh per share (face value ₹10).
Both all‑cash transactions will be funded through the company’s internal accruals and cash reserves, with completion targeted in FY26.
Together, these deals will enhance Waaree’s domestic manufacturing footprint, improve supply‑chain integration, and support its long‑term strategic growth in the renewable energy sector.
