New Delhi : In a bid to support global efforts for sustainable development and a greener planet, the EnKing International (EKI Energy, BSE: 543284), a globally renowned company working in the field of climate change, has decided to aid efforts to save and increasing the cover of rainforest by offering Forest Management service on this World Rainforest Day (June 22) to assist project owners and developers in forestry and reforestation.

The new service has been launched as a part of company’s broader service bouquet ‘Nature based Solutions’ wherein other services include sustainable agriculture land development, blue carbon including mangrove ecosystem, soil carbon sequestration, grassland and livestock management.

“It’s our mission to contribute towards the goal of the United Nations decade for ecosystem restoration by coming out with practical solutions to save our planet.

Our forest management service is a step in that direction which will help in nourishing as well increasing the forest cover, including rainforests to make our planet earth more livable,” said Manish Dabkara, CMD & CEO, EnKing International.

The first World Rainforest Day, it may be mentioned, was launched on June 22, 2017 by Rainforest Partnership which is a collaborative effort to raise awareness and encourage action to protect the vital rainforests around the world.

Dabkara said that the issues concerning climate change are vital for survival and wellbeing of the human race and added, “we must focus upon the current scenario as our ecosystems are depleting. We are losing many crucial species that are necessary for the ecological balance.

For example, more than 50% of plant and animal species are found in rainforests.”Excessive artificial heating of the environment and resultant climate change has become a real threat to the planet earth. Moreover, we are losing equal to 40 football fields rainforest per minute worldwide, Dabkara asserted.

“We are aggressively developing our portfolio of Nature Based Solutions like forest management, sustainable agriculture land management, blue carbon including mangrove ecosystem, soil carbon sequestration, grassland and livestock management to address such vital issues for mankind.

We are partnering with multiple national and international entities for on-ground execution of projects. EnKing International has already started working on this initiative on a large-scale basis. A lot more needs to be done, Dabkara stressed.More information on Rainforest and World Rainforest Day:

Rainforests are the one of the most important components of Earth. Studies suggest rainforests absorb carbon dioxide, stabilize climate patterns, and are home to half the world’s plant and animal species.

It is estimated that the world is losing 40 football fields of rainforests every minute. This deforestation at the such a rapid speed is threatening our biodiversity and damaging the health of mother Earth.

Deforestation causes 15% of global CO2 emissions that accelerate climate change—more than from all cars put together in the world’s largest economies — U.S. and China.

World Rainforest Day celebrates this precious natural resource and encourages action to preserve it. Your efforts, together with the actions of others, will have a positive impact on rainforests and the climate worldwide.
