As a part of its corporate social responsibility; Waaree Energies started its special initiative to endorse education for all and announced its campaign ‘From Darkness to Light’- supplementing education for children in the lower strata ofthe society in the country.Kicking off the campaign on Labour Day on May 1, 2016, Waaree Energiesdonated Solar Lanternsto the kids of labourers, in an attempt to help these children avoid any hindrance in their studies caused due to poor power connections/supply in their locality.

Mr. Sunil Rathi, Director Sales & Marketing,Waaree Energies represented the company and handed over 10 solar lanterns to the labourers in the Behraambaugarea of Jogeshwari West.Commenting on this noble effort, Mr. Hitesh Doshi, Chairman and Managing Director, Waaree Energies said,“One of the major reasons for illiteracy in India is Poverty. Despite being one of the fastest growing economies in the world, our country still suffers from educational discrepancies among various strata of society. Lack of proper schools in most rural areas are some of the reasons why children from poor families fail to get proper education. Most of them are forced to work alongside their parents as laborers or factory workers just so they could manage at least one meal per day. In a bid to curb illiteracy, we at Waaree Energies have created ‘From darkness to Light’ to promote education rights of these children, and help them reach their goals via proper facilities.”

With this campaign, Waaree Energies is determined to create awareness and promote education rights of every individual in the country. With this endeavor, the company intends to spread its support for education and make people aware of its importance in every individual’s life.
