34 HPCL pumps now have electric vehicle charging points

The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has indicated that it has seen phenomenal improvement in demand in September and that sale of petrol was up as people are preferring personal mobility over public transport. Demand for petrol products has been ramping up month-on-month, said MK Surana, Chairman and MD of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL).
“There is smart recovery. Even aviation turbine fuel (ATF) is almost at around 45 percent now. In terms of utilisation level at the refinery, the company is operating at around 102 percent,” he added.
HPCL has electric vehicle charging facility at 34 petrol pumps at the moment, he said.
