Newly-launched Australian renewable energy developer ACE Power last week officially announced its market entry with a pipeline of roughly 1.3 GW of wind, solar and battery storage projects.

ACE Power, funded by global clean energy holding Pelion Green Future, will focus on the development, construction, ownership and operation of renewable energy assets. The company said on Friday it has acquired a project pipeline from compatriot CleanGen Projects for an undisclosed amount.

The specific portfolio consists of 10 renewable energy schemes, planned to be completed in the 2024-2025 period. Most of the assets are located in New South Wales and Victoria, with the largest one being the 277-MW Loxton solar project in South Australia.

Once operational, the power plants will be capable of producing more than 2,702 GWh of electricity annually, or enough to cover the consumption of over 450,000 homes.

“We are well placed in the renewable energy market with our access to projects, funding and proven delivery team, aiming to achieve nothing short of excellence,” said Koovashni Reddy, director of development at ACE Power.

ACE Power’s founders are Mark Hogan and Koovashni Reddy, who also founded CleanGen. Andy Scullion, previously part of Wirsol Energy, has joined them as co-founder and will also be the company’s director of operations.
