Alfa Ventures invests in Skilancer Solar

New Delhi: Alfa Ventures Monday said it has invested an undisclosed amount in Noida based Skilancer Solar.

The funding will help Skilancer Solar, a start-up that provides artificial intelligence-powered autonomous robot for cleaning of solar panels, scale up operations and market presence, a statement said.

Neeraj Kumar, co-founder of Skilancer Solar, said the investment will allow the company to invest in design and technology upgrade, geographical expansion, team building, and develop competitive edge.

Started in early 2019, Alfa Ventures has a corpus of Rs 100 crore.

* 8 women-led energy start-ups receive seed fund of up to USD 80,000

Eight women-led energy start-ups are set to receive a seed fund of up to USD 10,000 (about Rs 7 lakh) each from POWERED Accelerator.

POWERED Accelerator is a global entrepreneurship programme that focuses on women-led businesses in the energy value chain.

It was set up as a joint initiative of Shell Foundation, the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID), Government of India’s Department for Science and Technology (DST) and is operated by Zone Startups.

The selected startups include REVY Environmental Solutions, Cydee Technologies, Pushan Renewable Energy, Durga Energy, FinEffi Energy Solutions, GTarang Energy Solutions, DD Bio Solution Technology and Prakriti Biotechnologies.
