Guwahati: Public sector power utility, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has come up with a single window clearance system for accelerating deployment of Grid Connected Solar Rooftop installations in Assam.
APDCL stated that it has come up with a web portal which will facilitate as a single-window clearance system for the consumers willing to install rooftop solar power plants in their premises.
The portal is hosted by Assam Power Distribution Company Limited and serves as an integrated platform for multiple solar rooftop stakeholders — Assam Energy Development Agency (AEDA), Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Solar Power Developers (SPD) and Consumers.
The portal is a platform for providing information pertaining to Installation of Rooftop Solar PV Systems in the state of Assam and enables interactions between multiple stakeholders.
It enables consumers for submission of application in the respective sub-divisional offices of APDCL, who intend to setup Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Power Plant in their premises. Consumer can also avail subsidy by registering on this portal.
