The Major Ports of Chennai, V.O. Chidambaranar and Ennore Ports Ltd through Indian Ports Association (IPA) have decided to set up on shore wind power projects starting with an approximately 50 MW Wind Power plant in Tamil Nadu or at a suitable location. In this connection, these three ports will float a single RFP/Tender jointly to set up one single plant. Also the Ministry of Shipping through the Major Ports is considering setting up of off-shore wind power projects. The work related to development of on-shore and off-shore wind power requires the guidance of an expert in the field. The responsibility of a consultant starts from formulation of prequalification requirement, preparation of RFP document(as required) for selection of and finalization of EPC work and EPC vendor, conducting pre-bid meeting towards successful finalization of order.
