Photovoltaics testing equipment specialist Endeas of Finland is launching a tool to establish a completely new product class for photovoltaic (PV) module laboratory equipment. The QuickSun 600Lab includes class A+A+A+ solar simulator and high-resolution electroluminescence (EL) inspection features in a single table-top system. The new equipment will transform module laboratories to a new productivity level by enabling users to measure the I-V curve and acquire an EL image together. The QuickSun 600Lab also reduces significantly the equipment investment cost and floor space usage of PV module laboratories by limiting the number of individual tools needed.

Until now, the QuickSun 600 all-in-one module testing station for PV module manufacturing, launched one year ago, has been the only table-top system on the market to include both solar simulator and EL inspection functions in a single tool. The new QuickSun 600Lab is responding to the strong demand for a manually operated version of the tool optimized for laboratory use. The tool has been designed for versatility with different module designs and state-of-the-art technologies. Accurate power measurements of high-efficiency modules, such as HJT or TOPCon, are enabled by Endeas’s highly acclaimed Capacitance Compensation (CAC) method. Besides laboratories, the new tool is optimal for manufacturers of specially designed PV modules. Application of the tool for manufacturing is supported by the ability to equip it with electrical safety and bypass diode testing functionality.

“We received numerous inquiries from PV laboratories since the introduction of QuickSun 600 all-in-one testing station for manufacturing lines,” said Jaakko Hyvärinen, managing director of Endeas. “In response, we redesigned the tool to provide the best possible value specifically for laboratories by combining our 18 years of history with standalone laboratory solar simulators with the unique approach for EL integration. We are excited to finally be able to answer to the strong demand for an all-in-one laboratory tool.”

Endeas will be presenting the new QuickSun 600Lab tool at Intersolar Europe in Munich on May 15-17 (Booth C1.134) and at the SNEC trade fair in Shanghai on June 4-6 (Booth N3-665). The product is available for immediate orders.
