ET Solar, a global leading energy solutions provider, announces that its wholly owned subsidiary ET Solutions AG has expanded its portfolio again with two ground-mounted solar projects totaling 10 MWp in the UK for Europe’s leading solar company, Lightsource Renewable Energy. So far, ET Solar’s grid-connected PV projects have reached 75 MWp in the UK.

The two projects, located separately at Upper Clayhill Farm in East Sussex and Church Farm in Buckinghamshire, will generate enough electricity to power about 3,000 homes with clean, locally produced renewable energy. This will offset up to 5,100 tons of CO2 emissions each year, and help the UK reduce its reliance on fossil fuel.

Throughout the planning and development stages, the local community was invited to give input and the design of the project evolved with their feedback. Take Upper Clayhill Farm project for example, the final design includes a bespoke Biodiversity Management Plan, which ensure that native species benefit from planting, seeding and habitat creation. The site is also designed to allow the solar farm land to be used as a grazing pasture for small livestock. Furthermore, the project champions local workers and businesses. Producing electricity locally has many advantages for all involved.

The 10 MWp projects mark another step towards ET Solar’s goal of becoming a major player in the UK solar market by delivering turnkey solar energy solutions and green electricity to the country. “The UK leads European solar energy expansion with the largest annual installations in the past two years, and we have been growing with it,” Mr. Dennis She, President and CEO of ET Solar, said.
