GCL System Integration Technology (GCL-SI), (SHE:002506), a subsidiary of the world’s leading energy group GCL, has successfully completed DNV’s Product Qualification Program and been named as the top performer in the latest PV Module Reliability Scorecard Report 2017 released by DNV GL PVEL LLC（”DNV GL”）.
DNV GL’s Product Qualification Program (PQP) select the lab testing and durations such as 3x IEC thermal cycling that are representative of field failure modes. This program provides independent and consistent reliability and performance data to PV equipment buyers and PV power plant investors. It also selects module manufacturers that focus on the reliability of their products and enables them to be competitive in the solar market.
DNV GL plays a significant role in the PV industry as 9 out of 10 top manufacturers and more than 70% of Tier 1 manufacturers (listed by Bloomberg New Energy Finance) have had their modules tested through the program in the past three years. Participation of a manufacturer in the DNV GL PQP is usually the first step to obtaining a spot on the Approved Vendors Lists of downstream partners.
