Hinduja Renewables Energy Private Limited (HREPL) wins the ‘Best Project Developer of the Year – Captive Projects’ award. Sudhanshu Kamboj, President- Business Development accepted the award at a virtual event- ‘India National Level Solar eAwards 2020-21’.

EQ organized the e-award function for the solar industry of India on May 26, 2021 which was based on the achievements of 2020-21.

Ravi Shaw, DGM- Engineering and Projects who was z key member of the project was also available with Sudhanshu Kamboj at the event. Sudhanshu Kamboj shared a presentation on the ‘PSEPL 75MWp SPV Captive Project Tamil Nadu, One of the Largest Group Captive Solar project in India’.

“Basically, this is a 75MWp Solar Power Plant in the state of Tamil Nadu, Shivgangai District. The total DC installed capacity was 75 MWp and AC capacity of 55 MW.

It was in line with the Hinduja Group’s water positive initiative. We have also opted for a robotic cleaning for this large scale project which is saving some nine million water annually,” said Sudhanshu Kamboj.

“We have also deployed the modern technologies, preventive and predictive maintenance systems. This project was completed within the stipulated timeline in the pandemic situation of 2020. The project was implemented with zero incidences of COVID 19 and no loss of productivity.

This project also gives some direct and indirect jobs. Even the CSR activities which we are doing around this project is also going to benefit a lot to the village community.” Sudhanshu Kamboj shared a slide of the CSR activities and the projects. Further, he informed about the construction monitoring using Drone.

We use our drones to monitor the project in a systematic way both for the quality as well as the progress of the project,” he added. Next, he presented a video on the project. The clean energy generated at this plant caters to all plants of Ashok Leyland across Tamil Nadu.

The annual power generation of more than 120 Million Units from this solar plant will fulfil 75 per cent of Ashok Leyland’s power requirement in Tamil Nadu and 60 per cent across India. “I thank EQ for giving us this award. We will continue to strive for more such achievements in future.”
