The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has officially appointed JinkoSolar’s Chief Scientist Dr. Jin Hao to the position of convener of TC82’s WG8 Photovoltaic Cell Workgroup after a vote was held amongst all member countries. This enables JinkoSolar to further build its international competitiveness and impact in the field of solar photovoltaic international standardization, which is of great significance for the health and sustainable development of China’s photovoltaic (PV) industry.
The International Electrotechnical Commission TC82 Committee is an organization specializing in the standardization work of solar photovoltaic energy systems and related technologies. The committee promotes solar photovoltaic standardization work to a higher and deeper development phase. Currently, the industry’s leading certification authority TÜV, JET, VDE commonly apply IEC61215, IEC61730 and other IEC standards as their testing and judgment criteria. As the convener of IEC/TC82/WG8 Workgroup, JinkoSolar’s Chief Scientist Dr. Jin Hao will be responsible for gathering technology experts from all member countries to jointly formulate and optimize the international standards of solar photovoltaic cells, filling the gap of the current underdeveloped standards and promoting the healthy development of the solar PV industry.
