MUL’s Petition to GERC on Compliance of (Procurement of Energy From Renewable Sources) Regulations
MPSEZ Utilities Limited (MUL) filed a petition before Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) for compliance of the commission’s (Procurement of Energy from Renewable Sources) Regulations 2010 and its subsequent notified amendments.
The petitioner humbly requests the Hon’ble commission to allow to compensate shortfall of 1.65 MUs solar RPO by a surplus of 20.31 MUs non-solar RPO for FY 2019-20 as reasons for the shortfall were beyond the control of the petitioner.
The petition asks the commission to allow additions, alteration or changes modifications to the submissions, condone any inadvertent omissions, errors or shortcomings and afford a reasonable opportunity of personal hearing before passing any orders in the matter. The petition also prays to the commission to grant any reliefs as it deems fit and appropriate under the circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice.
MUL’s petition was registered by the Commission on August 27, 2020. The matter was kept for hearing on January 30, 2021 and the petitioner was directed to publish the notice in newspapers. The notices were published in the newspaper inviting obligations or suggestions from various stakeholders on its petition for RPO compliance of the financial year 2019- 2020, as directed by GERC.

MUL has submitted that it has complied with the directions of the Hon’ble Commission.
