NTPC Ltd. – Unaudited Financial Results for Q1 of Financial Year 2016-17
The Country’s largest power generator – NTPC Ltd. having installed capacity of 47228 MW declared the financial results for the first quarter of financial year 2016-17.
Keeping pace with surge in generation, total unaudited income in Q1 FY 2016-17 increased by 11% over previous corresponding quarter. The unaudited total income for the Q1 FY 2016-17 was Rs. 19,220.80 crore as against the unaudited total income of Rs. 17,333.91 crore in the Q1 FY 2015-16. The unaudited Profit after Tax for the Q1 FY 2016-17 was Rs. 2,369.53 crore as compared to the unaudited Profit after Tax of Rs. 2,276.50 crore declared for the corresponding quarter of previous year, an increase of over 4% on Q-on-Q basis.
For the Q1 of FY 2016-17, NTPC Ltd. generated 64.555 Billion Units against 58.697 Billion Units generated in the corresponding period of the previous year, an increase of about 10%. For the Q1 FY 2016-17, NTPC Coal stations achieved PLF of 81.35% as against National PLF of 63.56%.
