NTPC to Commission India’s Biggest 100 MW Floating Solar Power Plant in Telangana

Hyderabad : NTPC Southern Region is on course into commission India’s biggest 100 MW floating solar power plant at Ramagundam in Telangana and a 25 MW floating solar power plant at Simhadri in Visahapatnam of Andhra Pradesh, said Mr Mani Kant, General Manager (HR),NTPC Southern Regional here on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering after unfurling the national flag at the 75th Independence Day celebrations held at NTPC Southern Region Headquarters here, Mr Kant stated that NTPCRamagundam and Telangana project have withstood and overcome several challenges arising due to the COVID-19 pandemic and continued to perform efficiently be it in power generation as well as in the construction of the project.

NTPC is playing a pivotal role in the energy sector, he said, adding that “NTPC with an installed capacity of 66,885 MW capacity is powering India’s economic progress and lighting up even remote areas of the country.

NTPC has embarked on a journey of further growth and diversification with the aim of becoming a green and clean power generator for the prosperity of the nation, he said.

He urged the employees to play a significant role in the larger context of the economy and strive towards development of our motherland and take our country forward and build a new India.

He appreciated and felicitated the housekeeping staff and other front line workers for their dedicated services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
