NTPC – Unaudited Financial Results for Q2 of Financial Year 2015-16
The Country’s largest power generator – NTPC Ltd. having installed capacity of 45548 MW, posted good operational and financial performance for Q2 of financial year 2015-16. Gross generation for the Q2 FY2015-16 grows to 60.159 Billion Units from 55.448 Billion Units in the corresponding period of previous year, registering an increase of over 8%.
The unaudited Total Income for the Q2 FY 2015-16 was Rs. 18,173.90 crore as against the unaudited Total Income of Rs. 17,267.32 crore in the Q2 FY 2014-15, registering an increase of about 5%. The unaudited Profit after Tax for the Q2 FY 2015-16 was Rs. 2,898.28 crore as compared to the unaudited Profit after Tax of Rs. 2,071.63 crore declared for the Q2 FY 2014-15, registering an increase of about 40%, on Q-on-Q basis.
On half-year basis, the unaudited Total Income was Rs. 35,497.20 crore for H1 FY 2015-16 as against Rs. 36,136.63 crore reported for the corresponding period in previous year. For H1 FY 2015-16, unaudited Profit after Tax was Rs. 5,033.63 crore as compared to Rs. 4,272.83 crore declared in the corresponding period of previous year registering an increase of about 18%.
