The Government of Odisha has planned to implement roof-top solar projects in all key cities in the state.While answering to a written question in the State Assembly on Tuesday, Energy Minister Pranab Prakash Das informed that the Green Energy Development Corporation of Odisha Ltd. (GEDCOL) would implement the solar project in urban areas.

In the first phase, the grid-connected rooftop solar project will be developed in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.Further, the State Government has planned to set up roof-top solar photo voltaic projects on the government buildings of Berhampur, Sambalpur, and Rourkela towns.
