Electric vehicle maker Okaya Electric Vehicle (Okaya EV) has introduced a new e-scooter ‘Fast’. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 89,999.

The company said in a statement on Friday (December 24, 2021) that it has presented this vehicle at the ‘EV Expo 21’ held in Greater Noida (UP). The scooter can be booked through the Okaya EV website or through the dealer with an initial payment of Rs 1,999.

The e-scooter can be driven up to 150-200 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 60-70 kmph. The company says that the range of the e-scooter will depend on the usage. The vehicle gets a 4.4 kWh Lithium Phosphate battery, LED lights (Sari), digital instrument cluster, daytime running lights and combi braking system.

Apart from this, Okaya also introduced the e-motorcycle Ferrato, which can be launched in the market in the second quarter of 2022. The Ferrato will come with a two kW motor and three kW battery with a top speed of 80-90 kmph, while it will be able to give a range of up to 100 km on a single charge.

According to the company, “Okaya is fully dedicated to realizing the vision of making India a 100% Electric Vehicle Country.” Anil Gupta, Managing Director, Okaya Power Group, told reporters, “With the launch of Okaya Fast, we have shown our renewed commitment to bring new, low-cost yet high-performance e-scooters to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in the country. Is.

He further added, “Okaya has already emerged as a major player in this segment with the creation of fast-charging infrastructure required for these e-scooters.” Apart from Okaya, there are currently three more e-scooters in the market, which are Freedom, ClassIQ and AvionIQ.

One can also book test rides of Okaya’s e-scooters through the company’s official website (okayaev.com). For this, you have to visit the site and fill a form by going to the option ‘Book a free test ride’.
