NEW DELHI-The Hon’ble Union Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy conducted a detailed review of NEEPCO at Guwahati today.
The Hon’ble Minister appreciated the rapid capacity addition and substantial increase in green energy generation by NEEPCO.
NEEPCO contributes more than 45 % energy requirement of the North East and supplies power to Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Goa.
The Hon’ble Minister exhorted NEEPCO to become a 4000 MW plus company in the next 7 to 8 years and assured full support from Govt. of India.
NEEPCO has been recently allocated 17 large Hydro Projects by the Ministry of Power in Arunachal Pradesh totaling more than 6000 MW in standalone and JV mode.
The Hon’ble Union Minister highly appreciated the outstanding efforts of Shri V.K. Singh, CMD, NEEPCO in bringing a radical improvement in NEEPCO.
