Sineng Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “SINENG”), a PV inverter manufacturer in China, recently announced that it had successfully won the bid for Phu Yen 257MWp PV Project in Vietnam which would be constructed by China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. as the EPC Contractor, to provide all DC combiner boxes, integrated inverter-transformer MV station.

Phu Yen 257MWp Ground PVPS Project in Vietnam is the first batch of new energy demonstration projects in Vietnam, located in the northeast of Ho Chi Minh. B.Grimm from Thailand and TTVN from Vietnam are the owner of the Project. The feed-in tariff of the Project is 9.35 cents/kWh with a duration of 20 years. The project is to be commissioned before June 30, 2019.

The installed capacity at the DC side of the Project is 257 MW and one 220kV step-up substation is constructed as well. A turnkey solution is provided by Sineng for the Project, with 1,032 sets of 1500V DC combiner boxes and 86 sets of 1500VDC/2.5MW centralized inverters, as well as 43 sets of 5MVA MV transformers and MV switchgears, to facilitate the installation and commissioning of the Project and shorten the construction period of the Project, thereby reducing the total cost.
