United PV’s 2015 Electricity Generation Volume Rises 52% Y-on-Y

United PV’s 2015 Electricity Generation Volume Rises 52% Y-on-Y

United Photovoltaics Group Limited , a leading solar power plant investor and operator in China, today announced the electricity generation volume of the Company in the fourth quarter as well as the total electricity generation for the year of 2015. With reference to the data generated, the total electricity generation for the 12 months ended 31 December 2015 has reached approximately 938,205 MWh, representing a substantial Y-on-Y increase of 51.88%. The aggregate volume of electricity generation was approximately 247,690 MWh in the fourth quarter of 2015, representing a Y-on-Y increase of 36.67%.

The significant increase in electricity generation was contributed by the Company’s expansion and results from rapid acquisitions. During the year, the Company has won the bid to develop and operate exclusively the Top Runner Project alongside with the acquisition of a solar power plant with an installed capacity of 100MW in Hubei. As at 31 December 2015, the Company beneficially owned 25 solar power plants with an aggregate installed capacity of 976MW, representing a Y-on-Y increase of 70.63%.

United PV is the first solar power electricity generation company which voluntarily discloses its quarterly electricity generation volume data on the HKEx, and insists to announce such key operating data. Since 14 September 2015, the Company has been included in the five major indexes compiled by Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited. Starting from 30 November 2015, United PV has become a constituent stock of Morgan Stanley Capital International (“MSCI”) Global Small Cap China Index. United PV will continue to play the role as a top runner to lead the healthy development of the industry.
