On May 25, 2023, during SNEC Exhibition, Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction Co., Ltd. and LongiSolar Technology Co., Ltd signed the module purchase contract for KomOmbo 200MW Project in Egypt. Mr. Yu Wei, member of the Party Committee and vice president of Zhejiang Thermal Power, and Mr. Dennis She, vice president of Longi Group, attended the signing ceremony.

Located in the city of KomOmbo, 805 km south of Cairo and 78 km northwest of Aswan, Egypt, the project will have an installed capacity of 200MWac and a DC capacity of 230MW, along with a 220 kV Booster Station. The project is developed by ACWA power. EPC contract is awarded toconsortium of China Power Engineering Consult and Zhejiang Thermal Power, fromChina Energy Engineering Company (CEECgroup). LongiSolar will provide high-efficiency mono PERC bifacialmodule for the project. The project will provide power for 130,000 households and reduce 336,000 tons of carbon emission annually, which will help energy transition in Egypt andit will provide new impetus to Egypt’s economic and social development economic as well.

At the ceremony, Mr. Yu said that LONGi team has been very hard to support clienton the project, and he wishes that both parties stay together using its complementary advantages and joint strength, and strengthen the innovation cooperation on all related overseasenergy business. Dennis said that as we all know that CEEC group hasbuilt and been building a lot of important energy andpower infrastructure for the people in Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, etc. as a solid response of the Belt and Road Initiative.LONGi will uphold the brand positioning of “Reliable, Innovative”, with the best products and the most advanced technology, to support CEEChead to international market to make new and greater contributions to the global energy transformation.
