ACME Solar Partners with Global Investors for 250 MW Renewable Power Project in Rajasthan – EQ

In Detail : ACME Solar has entered into a strategic agreement with UNOPS Sustainable Investments in Infrastructure and Innovation (S3i) and the Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU) to develop a 250 MW solar power project in Rajasthan. This partnership aims to boost India’s clean energy capacity and contribute to its national renewable energy targets.
The upcoming solar plant is expected to generate enough electricity to power nearly 500,000 households. By providing sustainable and reliable energy, the project aligns with India’s long-term goal of achieving net-zero emissions and enhancing energy security through renewable sources.
With an estimated investment of nearly US $200 million, the project is designed to be financially robust and environmentally beneficial. In addition to its environmental benefits, the project will create substantial economic opportunities. Around 225 jobs are expected to be generated during the construction phase, while approximately 75 permanent positions will be created once the plant becomes operational.
