New Delhi NCR: Last two months have been complex and out-of-the ordinary for corporates and businesses with the physical shutdown of activities due to the COVID 19 pandemic scare. In these complex times, organisations have had to continue the work via digital means, ensuring all employees are connected, mentally sound and motivated. This has been perhaps the biggest paradigm shift in Human resource practices across verticals and across the globe.

Employees of Amplus Solar, Asia’s leading distributed energy company and the renewable platform of PETRONAS, came up with an eccentric Happy Hours video to motivate people working from their homes with the message ‘Distanced Yet Connected’.

The video spells out the message that one can balance both work and home well, and contribute to stay connected and spells out the collective sentiment of ‘It’s not so bad as we thought it to be in the beginning’. The video titled Distanced Yet Connected shows that while COVID 19 is keeping us away, the new normal way of working is indeed effective and fun.

To make this a huge success, Employees pan Asia came together to create a unique video in the times of Working From Home (WFH) due to the national lockdown announced by the Indian government to combat the spread of COVID-19 virus. “The greatest challenge initially was to gather short videos bytes from people located in more than 30 locations, but as more entries started pouring in, everyone was up for it! As a Company we encourage this kind of location-agnostic collaboration.” Said Saumya Sinha, HR Business Partner at Amplus Solar.

Awarded with Great Place to Work Certification 3 times in a row, Amplus believes that mental health works in tandem with the physical health for overall wellbeing. Our various internal engagement initiatives during this lockdown aimed at balancing fun and work during these tense times.
