In Detail : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently met Singapore’s Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry, Tan See Leng, during his visit to Singapore. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore across several strategic sectors.
During the discussion, both leaders explored opportunities for collaboration in green energy, including solar, wind, and green hydrogen. Naidu emphasized the state’s commitment to building a clean and sustainable energy future.
The Chief Minister also highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s plans to develop data centres and modern port infrastructure. He underscored the state’s long coastline and its potential to become a key hub for logistics and maritime trade.
Transmission corridors, which are vital for supporting the expansion of renewable energy across the region, were also discussed. Naidu noted the importance of robust energy infrastructure to meet the state’s long-term power needs.
In addition, urban development and affordable housing projects were part of the conversation. Naidu presented the vision for building future-ready cities equipped with smart technologies and sustainable urban planning.
The Chief Minister extended a formal invitation to Minister Tan See Leng and Singaporean businesses to attend the upcoming Visakhapatnam Global Investors Summit in November. He encouraged investors to explore the wide range of investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.
He assured the Singapore delegation of a stable and transparent governance framework that would support international investors and promote ease of doing business in the state.
