Climate Tech startup Aurassure raises Rs 4 cr in seed round from Unicorn India Ventures – EQ
Bhubaneswar-based climate tech startup Aurassure has raised Rs 4 crore in a seed round led by Unicorn India Ventures.
The funds will be deployed to strengthen product capabilities, acquiring product certifications for international scaling, and sales team expansion to reach multiple cities, Aurassure said in a press statement.
Founded by Akanksha Priyadarshini, Vamsi Krishna, Raviteja Cherukuri, and Omprakash Patra, Aurassure uses its IoT enabled intelligent systems to collect real time data and analyse it to provide accurate forecasts and updates on disasters and frequently changing weather patterns like floods, air pollution, and rainfall along with other climate data which can empower governments and citizens in making decisions for a healthy and safe lifestyle.
Accoridng to the firm, it has onboarded clients including Tata Realty, L&T Realty, P&G, Honeywell, IIT Bombay and Google. The brand claims to have witnessed a 40% QoQ growth and has expanded its operations to cities like Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Aurangabad, Rajkot and Delhi.
Unicorn India Ventures recently announced its first close of Rs 1,000 crore Fund III. With this Fund, UIV aims to build a portfolio of 25 startups that are focused on global SaaS and digital platforms.
A clutch of climate tech startups have managed to raise funds in 2023. In July, Newtral.io raised $80K in a pre-seed funding round led by startup accelerator PedalStart. In May, Newtrace raised $5.65 million in a seed round led by Sequoia Capital India and Aavishkaar Capital.
